100 for 100 Holiday Shopping Spree Event

With the holidays just around the corner, Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee Mark Cafua and his family brought joy to deserving children of North Shore communities of Massachusetts with their “100 for 100” event.

The Cafua Family and their local Dunkin’ Donuts employees partnered with the YMCA of the North Shore to bring 100 deserving children on a shopping spree. Donations were accepted in select Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants for the Cafua Family Charitable Foundation in order to gift each child a $100 gift card.


CMC employees helped kids select and try on new coats and the children went home with brand-new warm winter coats.

The Joy in Childhood Foundation (formerly called The Dunkin’ Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation) provides the simple joys of childhood to sick and hungry kids in communities across the country.

Now in its 10th year, the Foundation has rebranded as the Joy in Childhood Foundation, a name that reflects its renewed focus on helping kids facing hunger and sickness find joy in their daily lives.

Since 2006, the Joy in Childhood Foundation (formerly the Dunkin’ Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation) has been deeply embedded in communities across the country and has donated more than $14 million to hundreds of national and local charities.

The Joy in Childhood Foundation funds joyful environments, joyful experiences and joyful expressions to help children whose lives are compromised by sickness or hunger have the support and essential services to find joy in their daily lives.

  • The Joy in Childhood Foundation supports non-medical resources in hospital environments that support families during a child’s hospital stay; memorable experiences for children and families experiencing serious illnesses; and arts and recreation therapy for children with physical health care needs.
  • The Joy in Childhood Foundation supports food banks and other nonprofit organizations committed to reducing hunger for children.
